NEW: SMARTGLASS FOR CONSERVATORY DOORS AND WINDOWS

SMARTGLASS -WClayton Glass have just launched SMARTGLASS®W, the industry’s first dedicated range of glass that’s been specifically designed for conservatory doors and windows.

SMARTGLASS® has become the dominant brand for conservatory roof glass over the last 10 years, offering a range of products that are unsurpassed in terms of performance and backed by the product quality and operational accuracy that they have become renowned for. By working closely with their customer base of systems companies, fabricators and installers, the company has developed SMARTGLASS®W which offers consumers the same market leading performance in their side frames and their conservatory roof together, as a complete package.

Sold with a three tier proposition, the standard SMARTGLASS®W typically offers 240% more solar control than standard glass, is almost 3 times better than clear glass for heat retention and benefits from warm edge technology. The upgrade to SMARTGLASS®W Plus+ additionally provides enhanced security and acoustics, and blocks out 98% of the sun’s harmful UV rays, which have proven to damage soft furnishings in conservatories over the years. Better still SMARTGLASS®W Ultimate offers all these key features, along with a true self-clean coating, helping conservatory owners enjoy a clear vision of the world outside.

There has already been considerable interest from a number of existing customers, eager to look for the upselling opportunities with SMARTGLASS®W and the promise of offering a better solution for a fully glazed conservatory.

Jason McCabe, commercial director of Clayton Glass commented: ‘SMARTGLASS®W has been developed to provide a better conservatory environment for consumers. The days of cheap polycarbonate based conservatories is long gone and the future for the conservatory sector is through innovation as our new product range shows.

He continues: ‘Even ‘A’ rated windows fall considerable short in the performance tables to SMARTGLASS®W and the increase in cost is marginal in relative terms. We believe that with as much glazed area in the vertical plane as in the horizontal (roof) plane, the future in conservatories is for a total solar control solution from floor to roof.’
